Joseph M. Zebrowski-Of Counsel

Joseph M. Zebrowski is an attorney who focuses his practice on Native American law, government contracting, and corporate law.  Joseph is admitted to a variety of courts, including  federal and state courts in Nebraska and Iowa.  He currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Native American Law section of the Nebraska Bar Association.

Joseph also continues to demonstrate his commitment to delivering well-grounded and excellent legal advice as he is a member of the Robert Spire Inns of Court.  The American Inns of Court is an association of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals from all levels and backgrounds who share a passion for professional excellence.  Through regular meetings, members are able to build and strengthen professional relationships; discuss fundamental concerns about professionalism and pressing legal issues of the day; share experiences and advice; exhort the utmost passion and dedication for the law; provide mentoring opportunities; and advance the highest levels of integrity, ethics, and civility.

Before joining Outlook Law, LLC, Joseph was employed as the Legal Director for the Harvard Award-winning economic develop corporation, Ho-Chunk, Inc., which is designed to foster economic development for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska.  In this role, he oversaw the legal needs of more than 70 subsidiaries in a wide array of business lines including, but not limited to the following: government contracting, construction, real estate and capital management, manufacturing and distribution, online escrow, logistics, retail, marketing and public relations.  In addition to being Legal Director, Joseph offered operational/tactical support which complimented the long-term strategic planning at both the parent and subsidiary levels.  He was also called upon to offer legal support with complex Human Resources issues, corporate compliance, trademarks, and collections.  Additionally, Joseph served as Vice President for their tobacco manufacturing and distribution subdivisions.

Joseph focuses on providing solutions that work for businesses.  Adding to his already impressive array of experience is Joseph’s understanding of how Native American companies and tribes with reservations work within highly regulated situations. These highly regulated corporations have unique issues and a certain understanding of the complexity is required to be considered even proficient in this arena – an area in which Joseph excels.  This knowledge base also benefits Alaska Native Corporations and tribes without a reservation base as he can quickly understand and dissect issues unique to Native Enterprises in a variety of arenas.

Joseph has offered guidance to Native corporations engaged in SBA programs, such as the HUBZone and the 8(a) Programs.  He takes great pride in finding practical solutions for entities facing complex or sensitive problems.  Joseph’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence folds in well with Outlook Law’s dedication to its clients as well as its discretion in handling sensitive matters.

Joseph began his legal career as a legal clerk at Martinez, Barrera & Martinez, LLP.  He later became a lead attorney at Pollak & Hicks, PC, specializing in bankruptcy law.  In this capacity, Joseph garnered heavy experience in adversarial litigation as well as a strong working knowledge of bankruptcy proceedings.  After Pollak & Hicks, Joseph counseled and represented multiple Fortune 500 Companies as a litigator at Brumbaugh & Quandahl, PC. He spearheaded settlement negotiations at all stages of the litigation process and handled Fair Debt Collection Practice Act complaints.

In his free time, Joseph volunteers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), American Diabetes Association, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Wear Yellow Nebraska.
