Mentor Protege Annual Reports to the SBA

By: Christine V. Williams on 08/20/2017

As the All Small Mentor Protégé Program has really begun to take off, it is important to recall that there are reporting requirements that accompany that program.  In particular, mentors and protégés are required to fill out the annual reports within 30 days of their anniversary of acceptance into the program.  While the regulations seem to dictate what is required by those reports, the forms seems to go a little more in-depth in the information gathering.  Some of the information requested may be to enable the SBA to discern (and possibly then teach) where and how the more successful mentor relationships may be found.  Some of the questions also seem a little “squishy” and it appears as more than one way of answering it may be acceptable.
