The SBA held its tribal consultations on the recently published proposed regulations in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 26, 2015. During those consultations, it was announced that the SBA would be extending the time to comment on the first set of the proposed regulations, which were published on Dec. 29, 2014, until April 6, 2015, which coincides with the comment deadline for the second set of regulations published on Feb. 5, 2015.
The SBA received many comments, both positive and negative, on the proposed regulations and committed to set up further consultations on the proposed regulations in accordance with its tribal consultation policy. The SBA will be working to set up a consultation schedule.
